Z-Trip

Few DJs have had as big an impact on music and culture as Z-Trip.

Z-Trip is an award-winning global DJ, Producer, speaker, and is often referred to as the pioneer of the  Mashup Movement.

Z-Trip’s roots are in Hip-Hop but there’s no style of music he doesn’t touch. The List of artists he’s  collaborated with reads like the best Spotify playlist ever. Linkin Park, Public Enemy, Lee Scratch Perry,  Tom Morello, Galactic, Travis Barker, Shepard Fairey, Run The Jewels, Busta Rhymes, LSDREAM and  many more. For over a decade Z-Trip has been performing alongside Hip-Hop legend LL Cool J. Their  shows have been described as so exemplary that the “crowd can barely handle the greatness.” Last year  they toured worldwide with The Roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff and many other legends, celebrating Hip Hop’s 50th  anniversary. LL and Z are also collaborators on the “Rock the Bells” channel on Sirius XM.

As a performer, Z-Trip plays festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Austin City Limits,  and is also a staple in the EDM world. His Electric Daisy Carnival, Holy Ship and Shambhala sets are  always festival highlights.

“Shifting Gears”, Z-Trip’s artist debut album, received 4 stars in Rolling Stone. His subsequent releases  were also given high praise. Z-Trip has officially remixed tracks for Nirvana, The Beastie Boys, Rush,  Jay-Z, Motown and The Bob Marley estate.

As a composer, he’s done numerous work for video games such as EA Sports “Madden”, “SSX” and  “Skate” as well as Activision’s “DJ Hero” series. He’s featured as an avatar in the game alongside Daft  Punk, Tiesto, Deadmau5 and other icons.

Z-Trip’s presence in TV & film is equally impressive. He curated, performed and led the tribute to friend  LL Cool J for The Kennedy Center Honors. He’s also performed with LL at his induction into the Rock ’n  Roll Hall of Fame. Z-Trip was one of the 5 members of the musical super group that closed out the 55th  Grammys with what Vulture called “ The Best Rap Rock collaboration ever”.

Z-Trip has worked on numerous movies including “The Boss”, ”Battle of the Year,” and “Drum Battle”.  He’s also scored music for the documentaries “Infamy,” “Scratch: All The Way Live” and was the special  music supervisor and composer on “La Bare” directed by good friend Joe Manganiello. They’ve recently  teamed up once again to work on a Dungeons & Dragons documentary, coming soon. One of Z-Trip’s  most artistic movie projects has been live-scoring Harold Lloyd’s silent film classics via turntables, which  he premiered at both Tribeca and AFI Film Festivals to rave reviews.

Whether in the studio, behind the decks or behind the scenes, Z -Trip continues to push boundaries  beyond what’s expected and wow crowds with his innate sense of what it takes to make people move,  think & discover all the endless possibilities music has to offer.

Missing Persons

Famed as much for their video-ready space-age image as for their music, the Los Angeles-based New Wave outfit Missing Persons formed in 1980, a year after the marriage of singer Dale Bozzio and her drummer husband Terry. A onetime member of Frank Zappa's backing band, Terry Bozzio met the former Dale Consalvi (an ex-Playboy Bunny) at a Hollywood recording studio; after founding Missing Persons -- initially dubbed U.S. Drag -- the couple recruited fellow Zappa alumni Warren Cuccurullo on guitar and Patrick O'Hearn on bass, and with classically-trained keyboardist Chuck Wild in tow, they began playing area clubs.

In 1981, the band released its self-titled debut EP; after signing to Capitol, the label reissued the record in 1982, and the singles "Words" and "Destination Unknown" both nearly hit the Top 40. Their videos also helped Missing Persons find success on the fledgling MTV network, where Dale Bozzio's hiccuping voice and campy look (comprised of shocking-pink hair and sci-fi outfits capped off with Plexiglass bras) combined with the group's synth-driven songs to make them naturals for heavy rotation.

Later in 1982, the group issued its first full-length album, Spring Session M (an anagram of their name), which launched the underground smash "Walking in L.A." After 1984's Rhyme and Reason notched only a minor hit with the single "Give", Missing Persons enlisted Chic's Bernard Edwards to produce 1986's dance-pop effort Color in Your Life. the album stiffed, however, and both the band and the Bozzios themselves broke up. While Dale Bozzio issued one solo album on Prince's Paisley Park label, Terry Bozzio went on to work with Jeff Beck; Cuccurullo, meanwhile, joined Duran Duran, O'Hearn recorded several instrumental New Age albums, and Wild composed music for films and television.

TODAY : Dale Bozzio ( Lead Singer and Founding member ) continues to tour the states with her new line up of Missing Persons. Performing the Greatest Hits for audiences around the world "Destination Unknown, Words, Here & Now, Give, Walking In L.A., I Like Boys, Windows and more!

Hot Lava
Hot Lava is an out of this world tribute to the B52’s.
A thrift store mix of 50’s & 60’s sci-fi, surf guitar,
trash pop, post punk rock n roll.
Hot Lava is from San Diego, California.
Focusing on songs from the first 2 classic albums,
there is no earthly way not to have a good time.
Put on your space suits & dance this mess around!
sullvn
A fresh take on retro soul, sullvn blends classic grooves with modern pop energy to create a vibrant sound that's seemingly nostalgic of 60s soul music with a contemporary groove. The 10-piece band lights up stages and gets crowds moving at every show.

sullvn's soul-powered debut single “Liars” set the tone, introducing listeners to their bold, revitalizing sound. Hot on its heels, the band’s latest release, “Oh California,” is a heartfelt ode to the Golden State. Wonderland Magazine states “sullvn expertly blends classic soul with vibrant contemporary pop elements, creating a rich, dynamic sound that feels both nostalgically familiar and refreshingly modern." With a debut project set to drop in late 2024, sullvn is just getting started.
The Pine Mountain Logs

THE WORLD'S BEST COVER BAND WITH INTERNATIONAL FAME IN GLOBAL PROPORTIONS

Prepare yourselves, if you can, for cover songs performed with such energy and attitude, with voices so pure and performances so transcendent, that you might just find yourself, against your better judgment, dancing so hard that your legs snap off, leaving your torso flopping helplessly -- yet happily -- into a musical oblivion. Such is the power of The Pine Mountain Logs.

For these are no ordinary covers. Surprises lurk around every corner. The Police's "Message in a Bottle" might unexpectedly turn into the theme from "Gilligan's Island." The chorus to Neil Diamond’s "Sweet Caroline" could transition into the chorus to Guns N Roses, "Sweet Child O’ Mine" creating something all-together different, but still infectiously sing-along-able! Any song could end with the 70s tag "Solid Gold" -- and often does.

Because this is not your average cover band. The Pine Mountain Logs are the insidious alter egos of the popular Southern California band Venice. Praised for their pitch-perfect harmonies and stunning live shows by superstars like David Crosby, who calls them "the best vocal group in the country and one of the best bands I have ever heard," and Jackson Browne, who calls them "quintessentially Californian," Venice has cultivated quite the reputation, both domestically and internationally, for their brilliant musicianship, remarkable vocal stylings, and lyrics that are intelligent and often laced with wit.

But when these talented singers and musicians morph into the Pine Mountain Logs, brothers Mark Lennon (vocals) and Michael Lennon (guitars), and their cousin Kipp Lennon (vocals), along with Mark Harris (bass), Dann Gillen (drums) and Troy Dexter (keys and guitar), take the opportunity to really cut loose, have fun, and create the biggest communal party in town.

The Logs' repertoire of high energy classics range from Alanis to Zeppelin and literally the Jackson Five, The Who, TLC, Duran Duran, Doobie Brothers, REM, and Earth Wind & Fire, in between.  All are reinterpreted with that Logs touch, clever transitions and unexpected medleys show off a wicked sense of humor. Songs you love! Songs you hate!! Mumbled lyrics!!!

Check out a headlining show in the Los Angeles / San Diego area, and dance to the entire history of pop music packed into one sweaty evening. Then you too can tell all your friends, “I sawed The Logs!”
